Does the City of Ocala provide services to my address?

Verify that the property address is within the city's service area by using our interactive map located HERE.

The services provided by the city include electric, water, sewer, storm water, solid waste, fiber, and yard lights. These services are provided to customers within the Ocala city limits. However, some services are provided to customers outside the city limits. Our friendly customer service representatives will assist with establishing or cancelling service, billing inquiries, payment arrangements, etc.

Residential Service:

Residential service applications may be submitted electronically via the online portal, via email at oeu@ocalafl.org, fax at (352) 629-1381, or in-person at 201 SE 3rd St, Ocala, FL 34470. Lobby hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Call Center hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 to 6:00 p.m. and is available to answer questions regarding the application process. Call Center does not process service applications.

Service fee for brand new customers is $50.00; service fee of $30.00 applies to returning customers or customers who are transferring service from one active account to another.

Transfer Residential Service:

To Transfer service, please submit a Residential Transfer Service Request via our online form.

  • If you are currently a prepaid customer, please do not complete this transfer request here.  Instead, please click HERE to apply.  You will be required to make an initial payment prior to starting services.

Commercial Service:

Inside City Limits - Persons seeking to start a utility account at a commercial address that is inside city limits must fill out and submit a Business Tax Receipt Application and the Ocala Municipal Services application through the City of Ocala Growth Management Department.

Outside City Limits – Person seeking to start a utility account at a commercial address that is outside city limits must obtain a Change of Occupancy inspection and approval through the Marion County Growth Management Department and submit the Ocala Municipal Service application to the City of Ocala.
