Racial Harmony and Cultural Awareness Task Force

The Racial Harmony and Cultural Awareness Task Force is a City of Ocala initiative spearheaded by City Councilwoman Mary Sue Rich. The task force has been in existence since 2000.

Due to concerns regarding COVID-19, the Task Force is not hosting in-person meetings. We are currently meeting on the third Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m. via Zoom. Membership on the Task Force is open to all individuals and organizations who want to be involved in assisting the Task Force in furthering their mission. Please email Amy Casaletto at acasaletto@ocalafl.org if you are interested in attending a Task Force meeting.

Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Racial Harmony and Cultural Awareness Task Force to promote a community of inclusiveness while celebrating racial and cultural heritage. We do this by bringing together diverse citizens to promote racial harmony and by encouraging appreciation and respect for cultural differences.
